  • Program managed Business to Business and Business to Consumer plan/build Abbott’s digitalMarwan Shamaa commerce platforms leveraging Magento in AWS, and delivered the implementation of six merchandise webstores for internal use.
  • Led the first Hadoop data platform implementation for big data analysis at Abbott.
  • Built coherent, successful team of 128 professionals to provide end user services support at Aon Hewitt. Motivated team members toward successfully achieving common goals, exceeded SLA’s, received extraordinary customer satisfaction scores, and achieved swift resolution times. Acknowledged as an excellent team builder, leader and motivator.

  • Established procedures to streamline processes: at IBM, cut 100% of duplicate work done by both the morning shift and the night shift; at Intelligent Sourcing Group, integrated the invoicing system, payroll system and timecard system for accurate processing; at Aon Hewitt, generated 40% savings in compensation by blending two technical roles into one.

  • Established IT Service Delivery Group to support Aon Hewitt’s global virtual workforce. Worked with Human Resources, General Counsel, and Financial team to determine “Total Cost of Ownership.”

  • Recognized by Global Head of Human Resources at Aon Hewitt for excellence in process improvement and consequently, worked with a variety of Fortune 100 companies as a spokesperson for establishing new processes for supporting virtual workforces. Acknowledged by IMF (Information Management Forum) for these accomplishments.

  • Identified many areas for cost reductions while consistently maintaining high level of customer satisfaction. For example, at IBM client’s, the largest managed care hospital system in the US, investigated incident tickets (1,000+/day) and utilized predictive failure methodology to prevent critical incidents to arise. Evaluated root causes and streamlined processes to reduce the number of average daily tickets by 75%.

  • Architect and implemented two data centers for Intelligent Sourcing Group, utilizing VMware technology for business continuity and failover to meet the vast growing needs of ISG’s virtual workforce.

  • Built ITIL-based infrastructure organization from scratch at Intelligent Sourcing Group. Set up company hardware, software, and mobile telecommunications standards. Provided direction and leadership, managed onsite and offshore resources. After 2 years, turned the technology organization from cost center to revenue generator by selling an employee life-cycle system to clients.

  • For managed funds in Aon Hewitt benefit plans, successfully created Daily Valuation Services business resumption and disaster recovery plans for real time, mainframe trading system. At that time, delivery group processed $300 – $500 million of trades per night, and on payroll days, $800 million – $1 billion of trades per night.

  • Served as hands-on manager/network and infrastructure engineer as required, throughout career.

  • Reviewed multiple Applicant Tracking Systems, selected one and integrated it with in-house developed iFusion system for flawless workflow at Intelligent Sourcing Group. Fixed invoicing issues by integrating financials to employee life cycle system for accurate invoicing.
